As far as custom content works everything is modded, they have custom cars, trucks and even the map is custom (Lakeside/Erie County), player housing is the exact same as altis life but my main gripe with A3L is that everything is too money-orientated and sometimes it seems you need large quantities of it just to enjoy yourself.
ARMA 2 TAKISTAN LIFE REQUIREMENTS MOD
The main features of this mod are getting money (which it is on pretty much every RP mod), player housing works really well, you can buy any house with a blue door (as long as you have the required license and money), as I mentioned previously no mods, everything is in the game by default.Ī3L, you will have to apply for Arma 3 life, the application proccess can be rather tedious, but it is definately worth the wait, the mod focuses heavily on RP whereas Altis life doesn't as much and requires you to read all the rules to understand how everything works.
ARMA 2 TAKISTAN LIFE REQUIREMENTS MODS
Sure, Altis life: can be a bit borring and tedious but still is fun overall, doesn't require any mods and is a good start if you want to get into RP mods.
If you are going down this route ensure that the server has been approved for monetization by BI. It is worth noting that on the whole Altis Life does not require an additional terrain or mod packs (unlike A3L derivatives and Takistan Life) so it is lot easier to join a server straight from the in-game browser.įinally pay to play servers are not by default better as anyone can put a paywall up for their server. With all that said I would suggest you select servers based on what appeals to you and not by which RPG game mode they are running you don't have to stick with just one either. In terms of map size, bigger is certainly not better, Altis with 10 people on the server can seem a very lonely place. Same goes for whitelisted server, one could argue that because there is vetting process in place it weeds out timewasters but this is not necessarily the case - this is especially true for pay to play. There is no hard and fast rule of one RPG game type having better RP. Role play (RP) quality and consistency varies wildly from server to server and is commonly not properly enforced or administered along with medical and policing factions not adhering to SOPs. you have to be approved via an application and/or interview or possibly make a monthly payment before being given access to the server) is not, again, mode specific but server specific. To answer a specific question housing was standard (iirc) in Altis Life 4.0 but can be added via scripts to other mods. Very few successful servers offer vanilla functionality as providing "unique" features adds to their player appeal. While each RP game mode has their own baseline functionality each server can add/modify content to their own requirements by adding vehicle/weapon packs, additional mods/scripts and map features to enhance their feature set. In terms of features of functions available on Arma 3 RPG game modes this is like asking how long is a piece of string.
